What to do if my ELAC Bass 130 Active has no signal?
    • J
      jasonfloresAug 18, 2025
If your ELAC Subwoofer isn't producing a signal, there could be a few reasons. First, check the mains plug and socket to ensure there's a proper mains connection. If that's not the issue, inspect the mains fuse and replace it if blown. If the problem persists, it might be an internal fuse issue, requiring service through your dealer.

Why is the output level too low on my ELAC Bass 130 Active with speaker cable?
    • J
      Jodi Hart DDSAug 20, 2025
If you're experiencing a low output level on your ELAC Subwoofer when using a speaker cable, it could be due to a couple of reasons. If you're using both speaker-level and RCA inputs simultaneously, make sure the RCA jacks are open. Also, check if one channel is inverted by disconnecting one channel tentatively to see if the bass level increases. Reconnect the 2nd channel, but intentionally inverted this time, and inspect the cables for polarity errors.

What to do if my ELAC Bass 130 Active has uneven sound?
    • D
      Dr. Elizabeth MedinaAug 22, 2025
If your ELAC Subwoofer's sound is uneven, try switching the polarity at the back of the unit. If there's no significant difference, move the subwoofer 0.5 - 2 meters and switch the polarity again.

What to do if my ELAC Subwoofer max output is too low for open air party?
    • X
      xlewisAug 26, 2025
If the max output of your ELAC Subwoofer is too low for an open-air party, consider using 2 to 4 units. Place them in front of a wall and increase the crossover frequency.

    • T
      Tina DavisAug 27, 2025
If the max output of your ELAC Subwoofer is slightly too low in your living room, it might be because the placement is too open. Try placing the subwoofer in front of a wall or in a corner. Alternatively, consider using a second Bass 130 Active.

What to do if my ELAC Bass 130 Active Subwoofer sound is distorted during loud tracks?
    • I
      Ian HernandezAug 30, 2025
If the sound from your ELAC Subwoofer is distorted during loud tracks, especially in surround mode, it could be due to an overload of the main speakers and their power amp. Connect the main speakers to the Bass 130 Active “SPEAKER LEVEL OUT” as shown in sketch A1 and A3, instead of directly at the main amp. Another cause could be overload of center- or effect- speakers and their poweramps, try to reduce the center- or effect-level at the surround decoder and use center mode “Normal”.

Why is the sound in lower voice range lean, but bass is fat on ELAC Bass 130 Active Subwoofer?
    • B
      Bailey CarrollSep 1, 2025
If the sound in the lower voice range is somewhat lean while the bass is rather fat on your ELAC Subwoofer, the high pass filter of the Bass 130 Active for the main speakers might not be ideal. Try connecting the main speakers directly to the power amp, reduce the subwoofer level, and optimize the crossover frequency and polarity.

What to do if my ELAC Bass 130 Active has loud buzzing noises with RCA-interconnect?
    • D
      Daniel MendozaSep 4, 2025
If you're experiencing loud buzzing noises with the RCA interconnect on your ELAC Subwoofer, it might be due to contact problems with the RCA interconnect or adapter for extensions. Check all connections. To monitor for bad faults, reduce the level at Bass 130 Active to -30 dB. You may need to adjust the outer rings of the RCA plugs.

What to do if ELAC Bass 130 Active Subwoofer has no signal and LED is green?
    • J
      Jonathan ReevesSep 6, 2025
If your ELAC Subwoofer shows no signal and the LED is green, it could be due to a lack of input signal. Check the input connections, try exchanging the RCA interconnects, and verify the source signal by testing if a different audio component plays correctly from the same source. If the auto start is not working, service through your dealer is required.

    • Q
      qjohnsonSep 9, 2025
