Timing Switches
The three timing switches used are of the single-pole, double-throw type (See Figure D2). They are
identical except for function, and can be used interchangeably.
• Holding Switch – assumes completion of a revolution once the ice maker operation has started.
• Water Valve Switch – opens the water valve during the fill cycle. It is the only adjustable
component in the ice maker.
• Shut-Off Switch – stops ice maker operation when the storage container is full of ice.
On/Off Switch
This is a three position switch.
• Upper position - OFF position. No power supplied to the ice maker.
• Mid position - On position. Supplies power to the ice maker.
• Lower position – In this position the switch has to be held down (spring loaded) for 15 seconds.
This shorts out the shut off switch and also supplies power to the ice maker to initiate a manually
operated cycle.
