Complaint – Ice Maker Fails to Stop at the End of the Cycle
Cause-
1. With the ejector blades in the standing position, check the holding switch terminals “C” and “NO”
for continuity. Replace the switch if closed.
Complaint – Ice Maker Continues To Eject when Container is Full
Cause-
1. Check the switch actuator and spring are positioned correctly. Switch should be open when the
arm is in the raised position. Adjust if required.
2. Check the shut-off switch terminals “C” and “NO” for continuity with the signal arm raised.
Replace the switch if closed.
Complaint – Ice Maker Produces Undersized Ice Pieces
Cause-
1. Ice maker mould not level – check.
2. Partial restriction in the supply line or the water valve strainer.
3. Insufficient water pressure to the water valve.
4. Water valve switch not adjusted for the proper water fill of 145 cubic centimetres – adjust.
5. Insufficient thermal bond between the thermostat and the mould. Rebond with thermal mastic
sealer.
6. Insufficient usage. (The normal air flow across the cubes will cause the ice cubes to shrink).
