Function Description

The Electrolux cooker is a freestanding appliance designed for household cooking purposes, featuring both a hob and an oven.

Hob: The hob consists of four cooking zones with varying power levels:

  • Two 1200 W cooking zones (140 mm diameter).
  • Two 1800 W cooking zones (180 mm diameter). These zones are controlled by knobs and operate intermittently based on the selected heat level, regulated by a thermostat. A residual heat indicator is present to warn of hot surfaces.

Oven: The oven offers multiple cooking functions:

  • Conventional Cooking: For baking and roasting food on one shelf position.
  • Grilling: For grilling flat food and toasting bread, with a maximum temperature of 210 °C.
  • Bottom Heat: For baking cakes with a crispy bottom and preserving food.
  • Fan Cooking: For roasting and baking food on more than one shelf position at the same temperature, without flavour transference.
  • Defrost: For defrosting food (vegetables and fruit). The temperature knob must be in the off position for this function.
  • Moist Baking: An energy-saving function that circulates air and recycles steam to keep food soft inside and crispy outside, reducing cooking time and energy consumption.

Clock Functions:

  • Minute Minder: Allows setting a countdown timer, which does not affect oven operation. An acoustic signal sounds upon completion.

Accessories:

  • Wire shelf: For cookware, cake tins, and roasts. Features a special shape for heat circulation.
  • Baking tray: For cakes and biscuits.
  • Storage drawer: Located below the oven cavity for storage.

Usage Features

Hob - Daily Use:

  • Heat Setting: Controlled by knobs from 0 (off) to 9 (maximum heat). Setting 1-3 results in the zone remaining red for 2-3 seconds before deactivating, while 8-9 operates at maximum power.
  • Energy Saving: Utilize residual heat by deactivating the cooking zone 5-10 minutes before cooking completion.
  • Cookware: Recommended materials include aluminium and copper. Cookware bottoms should be thick, flat, clean, and dry. Avoid cast iron, aluminium, or damaged-bottom cookware on ceramic hob to prevent scratches. Cookware diameter should match the zone diameter for energy efficiency.

Oven - Daily Use:

  • Turning On/Off: Select an oven function and temperature using the respective knobs. The oven lamp illuminates during operation. Turn both knobs to the off position to switch off.
  • Safety Thermostat: Automatically interrupts power supply in case of overheating and reactivates when temperature drops.
  • Accessories Insertion:
    • Wire shelf: Insert into the correct shelf position, ensuring it doesn't touch the back wall.
    • Baking tray/Deep pan: Place on the shelf position, ensuring it doesn't touch the back wall to allow proper heat circulation and prevent burning.
  • General Baking Tips:
    • For first baking, use lower temperatures.
    • Extend baking time by 10-15 minutes for multiple shelf baking.
    • Unequal browning is normal and equalizes during baking.
    • Trays may distort when hot but return to shape when cold.
    • Do not open the oven door during the first 3/4 of cooking time.
    • Keep one empty level between two baking trays if used simultaneously.
  • Meat and Fish Cooking Tips:
    • Allow meat to rest for 15 minutes before carving.
    • Add water to the deep pan during roasting to prevent smoke.
  • Moist Baking Tips:
    • Keep the oven door closed during cooking.
    • Preheat the appliance for 10 minutes to decrease condensation.
    • Clean moisture after each use.
    • Do not place objects or aluminium foil directly on the oven floor.
