10. Transporting the machine
• Tomovethemachine,pushthehandlebardownslightlytoliftthebladesfromthesurface.
• TTheenginemustbeturnedoffifthemachineismovedfortransport.
• TOnlyadultsarepermittedtomoveortransportthemachine.
• TDuringtransportchildren,unauthorisedpeopleoranimalsmustnotbeallowedwithina3m
radius of the machine.
• TCarefullychooseaclearandfreetransportpath,preferablyonewithasfewobstructionsas
possible. The transport route is preferably flat, with an even surface.
• TIfthemachinetopplesoverforsomereason,setituprightasquicklyaspossible.Itprevents
oil from the crankcase entering the air filter. It is advisable to avoid this as these filters are not
cheap.
• TUsenon-slipplanksforloadingthemachineintoavanorontoatrailer.Ensurethatthe
planks are properly fastened to the vehicle or trailer. Under no circumstances should the up-
wards slope exceed 25°.
• TAttentionandcarewhileloadingandofoadingthemachinecanpreventitfromtippingover
and causing an accident.
Mount the planks in a forward direction..
Descend the planks in a forward direction.
• Makesurethemachineisproperlyattachedinthevehicleduringtransport.Attachropesto
the fixed chassis parts to secure the machine.
• Thehandlebarofthemachinefoldsdownformorecompacttransport.Loosenbothnutson
either side of the handlebar; slightly push the arms inwards and fold the handlebar forwards
(see§8.2page17,inreverseorder).
