Spectrum Series (Z Type) Vertical Limit Switch Instructions
Caution: The screen’s Top Black Drop is already set to its maximum drop distance. There is NO extra black top
drop in the roller. Attempting to increase the drop will damage the motor or cause the material to separate
from the unit and will VOID your warranty with Elite Screens. Do not use these instructions to try and get
more out of your standard black masking drop. Please contact Elite Screens before making any adjustments.
The automatic stop positions (the positions where the screen stops when unrolling and where it stops
when rolling up) can be adjusted as required. These are preset and for most situations, the switches
should not need adjustment.
To adjust the limits use a 5/32 Allen Key. The adjustment sockets are located at the left end of the
screen behind the case (viewing from the front)
1. LOCATE LIMIT ADJUSTMENT SWITCHES
2. ADJUST THE LIMIT RETRACTING (How far screen goes into the case) White Limit Screw:
Adjusts the rise of the screen. Rotate the white screw counter-clockwise (Figure 02) to raise the
screen higher into the housing, should it stop too low. Do not allow for the weight bar to slam
against the housing when the screen retracts. This will cause the motor to strip out over time.
Rotate the white limit screw clockwise in case the weight bar goes up too far. One rotation
equals one inch of rise adjustment. Figure 01 shows the maximum rise for this model screen.
