Why does my Elite Electric Pressure Cooker beep and go to Keep Warm?
    • B
      Brittany HawkinsAug 15, 2025
If your Elite Electric Pressure Cooker beeps three times, goes to Keep Warm, and your food isn't fully cooked, it likely means the unit detected insufficient liquid in your recipe or a pressure leak. To fix this: * Release all pressure and open the lid. Add liquid in 1/2 cup increments until the unit builds pressure properly. * Ensure a proper seal by firmly pushing down on the lid. * Check the rubber gasket ring is in place and the lid is securely locked. * Confirm the valve on top of the lid is in the "Airtight" position. * Unplug the unit for 10 seconds, plug it back in, and reprogram it. Remember to add back any evaporated liquid to avoid recurrence.

How to fix steam escaping from Elite Electric Pressure Cooker lid?
    • M
      Marissa BrownAug 21, 2025
If steam is being released around the rim of the lid during the pressurizing sequence of your Elite Electric Pressure Cooker, it indicates that the Rubber Seal Ring did not make a proper seal. To resolve this: * Cancel all functions and release any remaining pressure and steam. * Open and remove the lid completely. * Check the Rubber Sealing Ring to ensure it's positioned properly. * Clean the ring with a wet cloth to remove any debris. * Re-assemble the lid, lock it securely, and restart the cooking process.

What to do if Elite Electric Pressure Cooker lid is stuck?
    • J
      Julia ScottAug 25, 2025
If your Elite Electric Pressure Cooker lid is stuck after cooking and all the pressure is released, ensure all pressure and steam have been completely released and that the small Floating Valve is no longer in the up position. If the Floating Valve is stuck, tap the lid slightly to make it go back down. Then, turn the lid clockwise to unlock it. Unplugging the unit may also help.

How to fix steam escaping from Elite EPC-813 Electric Pressure Cooker valve?
    • R
      rhunterAug 28, 2025
If steam is being released from the Pressure Limiting Valve during the pressurizing sequence of your Elite Electric Pressure Cooker, the Valve may not be positioned properly. Use tongs or a similar utensil to carefully adjust it. If steam continues to release, cancel all functions, exhaust any remaining pressure, and remove the Pressure Limiting Valve to check the thin wire spring on the underside. Ensure it is not bent or loose. If steam still escapes, the Valve may be faulty, and replacement or repair may be necessary. Please contact the manufacturer.

How to fix Elite EPC-813 Electric Pressure Cooker floating valve?
    • R
      Randall JohnsonAug 31, 2025
If pressurized steam is being quietly released from the Floating Valve area during the pressurizing sequence of your Elite Electric Pressure Cooker, use tongs or a similar utensil to carefully adjust the valve so it is seated properly. This will help settle the lid and all the valves properly. The pressure will quickly push up on the Floating Valve and seal it properly, then finish the pressurizing sequence.

Why Elite EPC-813 Electric Pressure Cooker has no power?
    • A
      Amy MathewsSep 7, 2025
If your Elite Electric Pressure Cooker has no power, it is likely that the fuse in the unit has shorted out. This can happen if the unit is cooked without enough liquid in the inner pot or if there is too much electrical current going to the cooker. Please contact customer service at (800) 365-6133 for a replacement fuse.

Is Elite EPC-813 Electric Pressure Cooker valve supposed to be loose?
    • T
      Tina OlsenSep 12, 2025
If you are not cooking or using your Elite Electric Pressure Cooker, the Airtight/Exhaust Pressure Limiting Valve will be loose. It will turn 360 degrees and may even come off if you pull on it. Once you start using the pressure cooker and the pressure has built up, and the Valve is set to “Airtight” properly, it will resemble a bobble head. Sometimes during cooking and pressurizing, steam may escape from the Valve. It indicates the Valve is not seated properly/securely. Simply use tongs or similar utensil and gently/carefully adjust it so it is seated properly.
