Cleaning the Hook Race
WARNING:
Turn the power switch off and unplug the machine
before cleaning.
NOTE:
Do not dismantle the machine in any way other than
what is explained in this section.
z Remove the setscrew w on the needle plate e
with a screw key q. Remove the needle plate e.
x Ta ke out the bobbin. Lift up the bobbin holder r
and remove it.

c Clean the bobbin holder r with a brush.
v Clean the feed dog t and hook race y with a
brush.
b Clean the hook race u with a soft dry cloth.
(You may also use a vacuum cleaner.)
Inserting the Bobbin Holder
z Insert the bobbin holder.
x The knob q of the bobbin holder should fit next to
the stopper w in the hook race.
c Reattach the needle plate, aligning the needle
plate guide pins e with the guide holes r in the
needle plate and tighten the setscrew.
NOTE:
After cleaning the machine, make sure the needle
and presser foot are attached.
