Glossary of Terms
Tuning
The process of setting values for the Proportional, Integral
and Derivative constants within the PID Controller to achieve
optimal performance.
Variable
Any conguration setting for the ER5000, such as the
Proportional, Integral and Derivative constants, the setpoint
value, the Control Mode or the Node Address. Refer to the Internal
Variables section for a complete list. Variable values can be
included in data collection and certain variables can be tracked
using The Plot Screen of the ERTune™ program.
