Why won't the pilot light stay lit on my Enviro Indoor Fireplace?
- BbradleygravesAug 8, 2025
There could be a few reasons why the pilot light won't stay lit on your Enviro Indoor Fireplace. One possibility is a problem with the thermocouple circuit. Ensure the thermocouple is properly connected to the rear of the valve; tighten it lightly if it's loose. Also, check that the pilot flame fully impinges around the thermocouple. If the pilot flame is too small, inspect the gas pressure, adjust the pilot rate screw, and check the pilot head for any blockages. You can check the thermocouple voltage at the rear of the valve; it should be greater than 5 mV. If it's low, consider replacing the thermocouple. Another cause might be air in the gas line, which can cause the pilot flame to die while the knob is depressed. In this case, bleed the line and check the gas line pressure.
