Why doesn't my Enviro retreat remote control work?
    • J
      Jeffrey WashingtonAug 2, 2025
The remote control may not be working due to dead batteries in the remote. Refer to the remote control instructions for battery replacement. Alternatively, the on/off switch might be turned off, the gas control valve might be set to PILOT or OFF, or the pilot light may have gone out.

What to do if the pilot light won't stay lit on my Enviro retreat?
    • I
      iweissAug 7, 2025
First, check the thermocouple connection at the rear of the valve and fully tighten if loose. Ensure the pilot flame fully impinges on the thermocouple; if the flame is too small, check the gas pressure, adjust the pilot rate screw, and inspect the pilot head for damage. Check the thermocouple voltage at the valve; it should be greater than 5 mV. Replace the thermocouple if the voltage is low. It's also possible there's air in the gas line. In that case, bleed the line and check the gas line pressure.

Why won't the burners stay lit on my Enviro Indoor Fireplace?
    • M
      Michael GrimesAug 13, 2025
The burners may not remain lit due to a problem with the thermopile circuit. Check the gas line pressure and ensure the flame impinges on the thermopile. If the flame is low, refer to the instructions for when the pilot light will not remain lit. Verify the thermopile produces a minimum of 300 mV when the burner is switched on, and check the wiring to the thermostat for any breaks.

How to fix dirty or sooting flames on my Enviro retreat Indoor Fireplace?
    • K
      Kelly LunaAug 18, 2025
Dirty or sooting flames can be caused by flame impingement. Check the log positioning. Try increasing the primary air by opening the venturi shutter and/or opening the vent restrictor. You can also refer to the section addressing burners that will not remain lit.

What to do if the spark won't light the pilot on my Enviro retreat Indoor Fireplace?
    • C
      Crystal DonaldsonAug 26, 2025
If the spark won't light the pilot, check the connections to the ignitor. If the connections are good but there is still no spark, replace the ignitor. Also, inspect the spark electrode for broken ceramic insulation; replace the electrode if it's broken. Finally, if the spark is not arcing from the electrode to the pilot, loosen the screws on the pilot base, adjust, and then tighten them.
