What to do if Enviro Indoor Fireplace main burner does not ignite?
    • K
      Kari GilmoreJul 27, 2025
If the main burner on your Enviro Indoor Fireplace isn't igniting even with the pilot lit, first, make sure the gas control knob is in the “ON” position and the burner switch is also ON or in the center thermostat position; check the switch for continuity. If that's not the issue, the thermostat might not be calling for heat; try adjusting it several degrees below the room temperature. Finally, there could be a problem with the gas valve itself. Use a DC voltmeter to measure the voltage across the TPTH and TP terminals. A healthy main operator voltage should read ? 325mV on an open circuit and ? 100mV on a closed circuit. If the voltage isn't right, you may need to replace the thermopile.

What causes the burners to not remain lit on an Enviro Indoor Fireplace?
    • C
      Caitlin RodriguezAug 9, 2025
If the burners on your Enviro Indoor Fireplace won't stay lit, it might be due to a problem with the thermopile circuit. Check the gas line pressure and ensure that both the main flame and the pilot flame have healthy characteristics. Also, check the thermopile for a minimum of 300 mV when the burner is switched on, and verify that the thermopile polarity is correct (especially for the 821 valve).

Why is the flame lifting on my Enviro Indoor Fireplace?
    • J
      joshuamurilloAug 13, 2025
If you're seeing flame lifting on your Enviro Indoor Fireplace, there are a few potential causes. First, check for any leaks in the vent connections. It's also possible that there's trouble establishing a proper draft; in this case, check the vent configuration against the manual, as the exhaust might be over-restricted or the burner air supply could be obstructed. Finally, windy outdoor conditions can sometimes cause this issue. Check to see if the termination is correctly installed, ensure an approved high wind termination cap is used, and consider installing a high wind guard.

How to troubleshoot difficulty mounting door frame on Enviro Indoor Fireplace?
    • K
      Kathryn FloydAug 18, 2025
If you're having difficulty mounting the door frame on your Enviro Indoor Fireplace, it could be due to a couple of reasons. First, check that the curved glass is properly clamped; reseat it by fully clamping the front before the sides. Also, make sure the door frame hooks are seating correctly by following the 2-stage procedure using the different hook receiver steps.

Why does the pilot light keep going out on my Enviro Indoor Fireplace?
    • M
      Michele KennedyOct 31, 2025
If the pilot light on your Enviro Indoor Fireplace won't stay lit, it could be due to a few reasons. One possibility is the 7-Day Shutdown feature (though this doesn't apply to the S50-820 model). If the pilot has been running continuously for 7 days without the main burner being used, the system might shut it off. Try turning the fireplace ON to reset the pilot timer. Another potential cause is an issue with the thermocouple circuit. Ensure the polarity of the thermopile is correct, especially if the charge time seems excessive. Check the thermocouple voltage at the valve; it should be greater than 5 mV. If it's low, you might need to replace the thermocouple. Also, make sure the pilot flame fully surrounds the thermocouple. If the flame is too small, check the gas pressure, adjust the pi...

How to fix Enviro Indoor Fireplace spark ignitor that won't light the pilot?
    • S
      scottwarrenNov 4, 2025
If the spark on your Enviro Indoor Fireplace won't light the pilot after pressing the spark ignitor repeatedly, there are several things to check. First, inspect the connections to the ignitor itself. If the connections are good but there's still no spark, you might need to replace the ignitor. Visually check for a spark. Also, the electrode might be broken or misaligned. Look for any broken ceramic insulation and replace the electrode if necessary. If the spark isn't arcing from the electrode to the pilot, adjust the electrode rod distance, keeping in mind that closer isn't always better. Finally, make sure pilot gas is actually flowing. Ensure the pilot knob is pushed all the way down while pressing the piezo ignitor. Check the gas pressure at the valve ports and remove the pilot head to...
