Periodic Maintenance
The Generator Condition Monitor is designed for reliable, trouble-free operation and ease of
periodic checks and maintenance.
Daily
Check that power is on and that no system troubles are identified.
Weekly
Check that power is on and that no system troubles are identified.
Monthly
Perform RELAY TEST check (see SYSTEM description for instructions).
Perform DETECTOR TEST check (see SYSTEM description for instructions).
Inspect filters.
Quarterly
Refill the water bottle with distilled water only.
Note: Do not neglect regular inspection of sample head and zone manifold filters. Although a
used filter may be capable of passing the recommended flow, dirt, dust or other obstructions
can cause an increase in submicron particle detection, thereby reducing system sensitivity.
Check that all tubing is properly connected, with no kinks.
Check the response of the Cloud Chamber detector by running the LED RESPONSE TEST
in the SETUP MENU.
Check and/or adjust Cloud Chamber airflow as outlined in Setting the Airflow through the
Cloud Chamber.
Check flow at the Zone Manifold and adjust as necessary.
Replace Cloud Chamber air flow filter.
Annually
Introduce particles to at least one head per zone.
Check tubing connections annually, or whenever they have been disturbed.
Replace sample head filters.
