CARE AND CLEANING
The HPAC 2.0 has been designed to keep maintenance operations to a minimum. Keeping the HPAC 2.0 clean and
well maintained will give you many years of trouble-free service.
TURN OFF POWER AND WAIT
To avoid injury or death from heated/moving parts or electrical shock, follow these steps before cleaning or
maintaining the HPAC 2.0:
Turn the HPAC 2.0 off with the Power button.
Unplug the HPAC 2.0 from the three-prong electrical power outlet.
Wait one hour for the HPAC 2.0 to cool down.
GRILLES AND CABINET
The cabinet, return-air grille and supply-air louver may be cleaned with a soft cloth, and mild soap or detergent. Do
not use wax, solvents or hydrocarbon-based cleaners such as acetone, naphtha, gasoline, benzene, etc., to clean the
cabinet, grille or louver. Use a slightly damp (not wet) cloth when cleaning the control area to prevent water from
entering the HPAC 2.0, and possibly damaging the electronic control.

FIRE HAZARD
To avoid property damage clean filters and coils regularly. Clogged
or severely restricted filters or coils reduce airflow, which can cause
drastic efficiency loss as well as severe component damage to
the compressor, electric heater and fan motors. In extreme cases,
clogged filters and/or coils may create a fire hazard and will void
the warranty.
