Changing the phone lock code

Note! It is important that you remember your new code. If you should forget it,
you have to hand in your phone to your local Ericsson retailer.
To set the phone lock to on, automatic or off

The new lock statusis shown.
The keypad lock feature helps you to avoid accidental dialling, which can
happen if you keep your phone in your pocket. You can choose between
manual and automatic keylock.
An icon in the shape of a key in the display informs you that the keypad is
locked.
Note! Calls to the international emergency number 112 can be made when the
keypad is locked. If the phone alarm rings, you can turn it off by pressing any
key.
The keypad remains locked until you:
• answer an incoming call,
• replace the battery,
• unlock the keypad.
The Manual Keylock
To lock the keypad manually
• Press C until the
Standby menu
appears and then press *, or scroll to
Keylock
on
and press YES.
To unlock the keypad
• Press C andthenpress*or
YES to answer the question

The Automatic Keylock
Automatic keylock means that if no keys are pressed in 25 seconds, the
keypad will be locked.
