Calibration equipment
All equipment used for power source calibration shall be in proper working condition and be
suitable for conducting the measurement in question. Only test equipment with valid calibration
certificates (NATA certified laboratories) shall be utilized.
7.2 Cleaning the welding power source
WARNING!
Maintenance and repair work should be performed by an experienced person, and
electrical work only by a trained electrician.
WARNING!
The mains supply must be disconnected during cleaning and maintenance.
To clean the welding power source, open the enclosure and use a vacuum cleaner to remove any
accumulated dirt, metal filings, slag and loose material. Keep the shunt and lead screw surfaces
clean as accumulated foreign material may reduce the welders output welding current.

Visually inspect the cables
and leads. Replace if
necessary
Clean exterior of power
supply
Bring the unit to an authorized Tweco service provider to remove
any accumulated dirt and dust from the interior. This may need
to be done more frequently under exceptionally dirty conditions.
