During the operation, maintenance, or repair of this instrument, the necessary safety precautions should be taken.
a) Grounding:
The instrument must be grounded to prevent electric shock. The 3-pin plug with 10A supplied with the Provocell™
Shaking Micro Incubator power cable should be grounded. Plugs should be replaced by a qualied electrician.
b) Electric Circuits:
Do not open the instrument. This should be done by a qualied service engineer.
c) A.C. Power Considerations:
Before turning on the power, check the voltage (A.C. 220 - 240V or A.C. 100-120V, according to the label on the
back of the instrument) and whether the current rating of the plug complies with specication.
d) General:
The Provocell™ should be placed in a low-humidity, dust-free, well-ventilated environment. The Provocell™
should not be installed in close proximity to water sources.
Never cover or obstruct the openings of the Provocell™. These are designed for ventilation and to prevent the
device’s interior from becoming too hot. When installing a single instrument, the minimum distance between
the openings and the nearest object should be at least 30 cm; when two or more instruments are running at the
same time, the minimum distance between them should be 50 cm.
Excessively high temperatures may lead to poor performance, or instrument failure. The instrument should not
be placed in direct sunlight, near ovens, or central heating.
e) Warning:
Note: Please read this manual before using this instrument. Failure to read the manual may result in damage to the
instrument.
