Operation mode
AMP>***
This sets the operation mode of the unit.
NORMAL
The unit will operate normally using its preamp and power amplifier.
PREAMP
The unit will be used as a preamp.
Use this setting when connecting the analog output (PRE OUT/
REC OUT) connectors to an external power amplifier and not
using this unit’s power amplifier.
Regardless of the PRE OUT output setting made in Settings Menu2,
the unit’s preamp output will be output from its analog output (PRE
OUT/REC OUT) connectors.
PWRAMP
The unit will be used as a power amplifier.
Use this setting when connecting the preamplifier output from
other devices to the preamp input (EXT. PRE IN) connectors on
this unit and adjusting the volume with those devices. The input
audio will be input directly to the power amplifier without passing
through the preamp circuit.
Restoring factory settings
You can restore the factory default settings, erasing all changes in
memory.
Turn the unit on while pressing and holding the TONE BYPASS button.
