Overview

This document describes a Euhomy car refrigerator, an instruction manual for models CFA-35, CFA-45, and CFA-55. It outlines the product's functions, safety precautions, operating instructions, cleaning and maintenance, troubleshooting, and warranty information.

Function Description

The Euhomy car refrigerator is designed as a mobile refrigeration system, utilizing a high-quality DC variable frequency compressor and drive module. This setup ensures high efficiency, energy saving, stability, and reliability. The appliance features a microcomputer intelligent control system for easy operation and accurate temperature control.

A key innovation is its intelligent dual temperature zone function, allowing for free switching between freezing and refrigeration modes to accommodate diverse storage needs. This flexibility makes it suitable for various items requiring different temperature settings.

The refrigerator is versatile in terms of power input, intelligently recognizing DC12V/24V voltage. This broad compatibility means it can be used in multiple environments, including cars, marine vessels, homes, and outdoor settings. It also incorporates a voltage detection and low voltage protection function, which prevents the car battery from over-discharging, thus safeguarding the vehicle's starting capability.

For internal storage, the inner container is crafted from food-grade plastic, ensuring safety, anti-leakage properties, and resistance to odors. Convenience is enhanced with built-in LED lighting, making it easier to use at night. The high-definition LED digital display provides clear information, and intelligent touch operation buttons, coupled with a keyboard child lock function, prevent accidental adjustments.

Usage Features

Opening and Closing: To start the refrigerator, connect it to the recommended DC 12V/24V power supply and press the on/off button for 2 seconds. After a 1-minute pre-set delay, the compressor will begin refrigeration. To turn it off, press the on/off button for 3 seconds while the control panel is unlocked.

Control Panel Locking and Unlocking: The control panel can be locked to prevent unintended changes. When locked (indicated by a child lock icon), press and hold the "up/down" button simultaneously for 2 seconds to unlock. If there's no activity for 20 seconds, it will automatically re-lock.

Temperature Setting: With the control panel unlocked, use the "up/down" keys to adjust the temperature. Each press changes the temperature by 1 degree. To switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit, hold the "Set" button for 2 seconds until the temperature icon flashes, then use the "UP/DOWN" button.

Compressor Working Mode: The refrigerator offers "Eco" and "Max" compressor modes. For rapid cooling to a lower temperature, select "MAX" mode. If only refrigeration or heat preservation is needed, "ECO" mode can be chosen to conserve energy.

Low Voltage Protection: The product includes a low voltage protection feature that automatically turns off the compressor if the battery voltage drops below a set value. This prevents battery damage or the inability to start a car. The screen will display "E1" in this situation. Once the voltage returns to normal, the refrigerator resumes operation after one minute. The factory default setting for battery protection is "Medium." To change this, unlock the control panel, long-press the "set" button for 2 seconds, then press it once more. An icon (L, M, H) will flash, allowing adjustment with the "up/down" button. It is recommended to set the protection level to "H" when using the refrigerator in a car to avoid affecting the car's start. If the refrigerator enters battery protection mode prematurely, check the power supply wiring and consider lowering the protection gear.

Single and Double Temperature Zone Function: The refrigerator automatically identifies temperature zones. When the middle partition is inserted, it defaults to a double temperature zone, with the larger zone for freezing and the smaller for refrigeration. Removing the partition converts it to a single temperature zone, with the temperature subject to the set value.

Placement and Environment: For optimal performance, place the refrigerator in a well-ventilated area to facilitate heat dissipation. Ensure a gap of at least 100 mm between the cooling hole on the compression side and other objects. Avoid leaving the door open for extended periods to prevent frost buildup and maintain cooling efficiency. Do not use the refrigerator near heat sources, as this can reduce its performance. Always use the refrigerator on a flat surface to ensure its service life and cooling efficiency. The product is designed to operate within an ambient temperature range of 32–113°F.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning: Before cleaning, disconnect the power supply. Wipe the inner and outer surfaces with a cleaning cloth dampened with water and a suitable detergent. Avoid direct water washing to prevent damage to electrical components. If the refrigerator will not be used for an extended period, clean both the inside and outside thoroughly and ensure it is dry. Implement moisture-proof and dust-proof measures to prevent mold and peculiar odors.

Troubleshooting: The manual provides a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for common issues.

  • Product not working properly: Check power connection, voltage, battery connections, fuse, and ensure the refrigerator is turned on and temperature is not set too high.
  • Poor refrigeration performance: Check for overloading, high food temperature, improperly closed door, damaged door seal, adequate ventilation, high ambient temperature, or incorrect temperature settings.
  • "Water flowing" sound: This is normal and caused by refrigerant flow.
  • Loud sound at startup: Ensure the refrigerator is on a flat surface and check for vibrating objects. A louder sound during compressor startup (from static to high speed) is normal and will decrease once the speed stabilizes.
  • Water drops around shell or door seal: This is normal; moisture in humid air condenses into water droplets upon contact with cooler surfaces.

Warranty: The entire machine is guaranteed for 1 year, and the compressor for 1 year, from the date of purchase, against quality problems. However, the warranty does not cover damage from improper use (e.g., washing underwater), replacement with non-manufacturer parts, man-made damage, operation contrary to manual precautions, unauthorized disassembly, force majeure events (e.g., earthquake, fire), loss of items inside the refrigerator, or damage to fuses, connectors, sockets, or handles.
