Function Description:

The Everyday Essentials EE Portable Gas Grill is designed for outdoor cooking using propane gas. It is a compact and portable unit, suitable for use in various outdoor settings. The grill features a single burner, a cooking grid, a warming rack, and a lid with a handle. It is intended for personal, non-commercial use.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model Number: 21297141 (GPT1813)
  • Fuel Type: Propane gas only.
  • Cylinder Compatibility: Designed for 1-pound (16.4 oz) LP-gas cylinders equipped with a compatible connection device. Cylinders must be constructed and marked in accordance with the specifications for LP gas cylinders of the National Standard of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Commission of Canada for Cylinders, Spheres and Tubes (CAN/CSA-B139).
  • Clearance from Combustible Materials: Must be positioned more than 1.27 m (50 inches) away from any building or combustible materials/surfaces.
  • Assembly Time: Estimated 20 minutes.
  • Flame Characteristics (Normal): Soft blue flames with yellow tips, between 2.5 – 5 cm (1-2 inches) high.

Usage Features:

  • Outdoor Use Only: The grill is strictly for outdoor use and must not be used in buildings, garages, sheds, breezeways, boats, trailers, or recreational vehicles to prevent fire and carbon monoxide poisoning.
  • Lid Operation: Always open the lid carefully and slowly to avoid severe burns from trapped heat and steam. The lid must be open when lighting the burners to prevent explosions.
  • Gas Supply: The grill connects to a 1-pound propane gas cylinder. The gas supply valve at the tank should be turned on slowly.
  • Ignition: The grill features an igniter button for lighting the burner. If the igniter fails, a lighting stick with a match can be used through a designated hole on the left side of the barbecue body.
  • Temperature Control: A control knob allows adjustment of the flame intensity (HIGH/OFF).
  • Cooking Surfaces: Includes a cooking grid and a warming rack for versatile cooking.
  • Grease Management: A grease cup is provided to collect drippings, which should be periodically emptied and cleaned.
  • Safety Precautions:
    • Always perform a leak test on all connections and hoses before each use and after connecting a new cylinder.
    • Never leave a lit grill unattended.
    • Keep children and pets away from the barbecue.
    • Do not move the barbecue while it is lit or hot.
    • Do not grill in high winds.
    • Do not store spare propane cylinders or flammable liquids near the grill.
    • Do not use charcoal or lighter fluid.
    • Do not obstruct the ventilation opening of the cylinder enclosure.
    • Wear protective gloves when the grill is hot.
    • If the burner does not light, turn the control knob to "OFF," wait five minutes with the lid open for gas to clear, and then repeat the lighting procedure.
    • In case of a persistent grease fire, turn knobs to OFF, turn gas OFF at the propane tank, leave the lid closed, and let the fire burn out.
    • "Flare-ups" are normal but should be controlled by monitoring the grill and turning down the flame to LOW or OFF if they intensify.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cooling Down: Always allow the grill to cool completely (at least 45 minutes) before covering or performing any maintenance to prevent corrosion and burns.
  • Post-Use Cleaning: Burn off food residues for 10-15 minutes after each use.
  • General Cleaning:
    • Use a mild dishwashing detergent and hot water solution for cleaning outside surfaces.
    • For inside surfaces, remove residue with a brush, scraper, or cleaning pad, then wash with detergent and hot water.
    • Cooking grates (porcelain) can be cleaned with mild dishwashing detergent, baking soda, or non-abrasive scouring powder.
    • Heat plates should be cleaned with a wire brush and soapy water.
    • The grease cup should be periodically emptied and cleaned.
  • Burner Assembly Cleaning:
    • Turn off gas at control knobs and propane tank.
    • Remove cooking grates, heat plate, and grease cup.
    • Remove the burner by unscrewing the nut from beneath the burner "foot" and lifting it away from the gas valve orifice.
    • Clean the burner's inlet (venturi tube) with a small bottle brush or compressed air.
    • Remove food residue and dirt from the burner surface.
    • Clear clogged ports with a stiff wire (e.g., a paper clip).
    • Inspect the burner for damage (cracks or holes) and replace if necessary.
    • Reinstall the burner, ensuring gas valve orifices are correctly positioned and the spark electrode is checked.
  • Hose Inspection: Clean and inspect the hose before each use. Replace if there is evidence of abrasion, wear, cuts, or leaks.
  • Avoid Harsh Cleaners: DO NOT use abrasive or flammable cleaners, or cleaners containing acid, mineral spirits, or xylene, as they can damage parts or cause a fire. Do not clean any grill part in a self-cleaning oven.

Warranty Program:

  • Proof of Purchase: Required for all warranty claims.
  • Full 30-Day Warranty: Covers missing parts, which will be replaced at no charge within 30 days of purchase with valid proof of purchase (shipping and handling fees apply).
  • Limited Warranty (1-Year): Covers damage affecting the operation of the gas grill.
