ForDC magneticfield measurements,the displaywillshow either the N orS indicator.For the
North Pole, the N indicator will be shown. Similarly, for the South Pole, the S indicator will be
shown.ForACmagneticfieldmeasurements,thedisplaywillshowtheACindicator (theNor S
indicatorswillnotthenbeshown).
Presstheprobe headtothetestingmaterial(seeFig6).Thedisplaywillshowthemagneticfield
valuealongwiththeunitofmeasure(mT=MilliTeslaorG=Gauss)andAC,ifanACfield.
Note:
WhenthemeterispoweredON,thedisplaymayshowanonzerovalue(becauseof
environmentalinterference).BeforetakingameasurementpresstheZERObuttontonullthe
display.
DataHold
Duringmeasurements,presstheHOLDbuttonandthemeasuredvaluewillbeheld(theLCDwill
displayHOLD).PresstheHOLDbutton againtoexitthedataholdfunction.
DataRecording(MaximumandMinimumReading)
PresstheRECbuttontostartthedatarecordingfunction.TheLCDwilldisplayREC.PresstheREC
button again andREC MAXalong with the maximumreading recorded will app ear on theLCD.
PresstheRECbuttonagaintodisplaytheminimumvalue(theLCDwilldisplayRECMIN).Toexit
the data recording function, press and hold the REC button for two seconds. The meter will
returntothenormalmodeofoperation.
Note:WhenmakingDCmagneticfieldmeasurementswhiletheRECORDfunctionisactive,the
usercannotchangefromNorthtoSouthpoleorviceversa.

