Read all of manual to become thoroughly familiar with this vehicle. Pay particular attention to all Notes, Cautions and Warnings
CONTROLS
The controls on the vehicle consist of:
• key/light switch
• direction selector lever
• choke
• accelerator pedal
• combination service / parking brake pedal
(mechanical brakes only)
• service brake pedal and parking brake
pedal or handle (hydraulic brakes only)
• horn
Key/Light Switch
Located on the dash panel, this switch enables the basic
electrical system of the vehicle to be turned on and off by
turning the key. If the vehicle is equipped with lights, this
switch also has a position for operating the lights. The
lights will illuminate only when the key is turned to the
light icon position (Ref. Fig. 3 on page 2).
To prevent inadvertent operation of the vehicle when left
unattended, the key should be turned to the ‘OFF’ posi-
tion and removed.
If the vehicle is equipped with E-Z-GO installed
custom accessories, some accessories remain
operational with the key switch in the ‘OFF’ position.
Direction Selectors
Located either on the seat support panel or between the
front seats in the console, this lever permits the selection
of either forward, reverse or neutral (the position
between FORWARD and REVERSE) (Ref. Fig. 4 on
page 2). It should be left in FORWARD when the vehicle
is unattended.
To prevent component damage, the
vehicle must be completely stopped
before moving the direction selector.
Choke
Located on the seat support panel, the choke is used to
aid cold starting (Ref. Fig. 5 on page 3). Pull the choke
knob out for the first start of the day, or if the vehicle does
not start within ten seconds after partially depressing the
accelerator pedal. After engine runs smoothly, push
choke back to normal position. Do not operate at full
throttle until engine has reached operating temperature.
