Usage Features

Operating Modes:

  • Smart Mode (As standard):
    • Heating capacity: 20% to 100% capacity.
    • Intelligent optimization for fast heating.
  • Silence Mode (Use at night):
    • Heating capacity: 20% to 80% capacity.

Control Panel: The heat pump features a digital display with touch controls for:

  • Power On/Off: Press the power button.
  • Screen Lock/Unlock: Press the lock/mode button for 3 seconds.
  • Mode Selection: After unlocking, press the lock/mode button to cycle through Auto, Heating, and Cooling modes.
  • Temperature Adjustment: Use the Up/Down arrows to set the desired temperature.
  • Smart/Silence Mode Selection: Press the speed button to switch between Smart (default) and Silence modes.

Key Features:

  • Power-off Memory Function: The heat pump automatically restarts after power recovery.
  • Start Delay Function: To protect the heat pump, the fan starts in 3 minutes, and the compressor starts 30 seconds later.
  • Defrosting:
    • Auto Defrosting: The defrosting indicator flashes during the process and stops when complete.
    • Compulsory Defrosting: While heating, press the lock/mode and Up/Down buttons together for 5 seconds to initiate. The indicator flashes and stops when complete. (Note: Intervals should be >30 minutes, and compressor run time >10 minutes).

Safety Reminders:

  • Always ensure the water pump is on before the heat pump starts and off after the heat pump is turned off to prolong service life.
  • The heat pump is exclusively for heating pool water; never use it for flammable or turbid liquids.
  • Do not lift the water union when moving the heat pump to prevent damage to the titanium heat exchanger.
  • Maintain clear air inlet and outlet areas to ensure efficiency.
  • Avoid using or storing combustible gases or liquids near the unit.
  • In case of abnormal noises, smells, smoke, or electrical leakage, immediately switch off the main power and contact a local dealer; do not attempt self-repair.
  • Keep the main power switch out of children's reach.
  • Cut off power during lightning storms.

Error Codes (Not Failures):

  • E3: No water flow.
  • Ed: Anti-Freezing Reminder.
  • Eb: Out of the operating range.
  • E6: Insufficient water flow or pump blocked.
  • ES: Power abnormal.

Maintenance Features

Daily Maintenance:

  • Power Disconnection: Always cut off the power supply before cleaning, examination, or repair.
  • Evaporator Cleaning: Clean the evaporator with household detergents or clean water; never use gasoline, thinners, or similar fuels.
  • Regular Checks: Regularly check bolts, cables, and connections.

Winterizing:

  • Power Disconnection: Cut off the power supply when not in use during winter.
  • Water Drainage: Drain water from the heat pump by unscrewing the water union of the inlet pipe. This is crucial to prevent freezing water from damaging the titanium heat exchanger when the ambient temperature is below 2°C.
  • Continuous Water Flow: If using the heat pump below 2°C, ensure there is always water flow.

Professional Maintenance:

  • Maintenance should be carried out annually by a qualified professional technician.
  • Do not touch electronic components until LED indication lights on the PCB turn off.

Installation (for Installers and Professionals):

  • Professional Installation: The heat pump must be installed by a professional team to prevent damage and ensure user safety.
  • Hard Pipes: Inlet and outlet water unions cannot bear the weight of soft pipes; connect with hard pipes.
  • Water Pipe Length: Water pipe length between the pool and heat pump should be ≤10m for optimal heating efficiency.
  • Location: Install in a well-ventilated area, maintaining minimum distances from filters, water processors, and water switches.
  • Foundation: Fix the frame with M10 bolts to a solid concrete foundation or strong, anti-rust treated brackets.
  • Water Pump: A user-supplied water pump is required, with specifications referring to the technical parameters (Max. lift ≥10m).
  • Condensation Drainage: Condensation water will be discharged from the bottom; insert the drainage tube (accessory) and connect a pipe to drain it.
  • Wiring:
    • Connect to appropriate power supply matching the rated voltage.
    • Ensure proper earthing.
    • Wiring must be done by a professional technician according to the circuit diagram.
    • Set breaker or fuse according to local codes (leakage operating current ≤ 30mA).
    • Power and signal cables should be orderly and not interfere with each other.
    • For power cords ≤ 10m, use specified wire diameters. For >10m, increase wire diameter. Signal cable can extend up to 50m.
    • For safe winter use, equipping a heating priority function is strongly recommended.
  • Pre-Use Inspection: Before turning on, check all wirings, pipe connections, electrical wiring, earthing, main power connection, and ensure no obstacles are in front of air inlets/outlets.
  • Trial Run:
    • Start the water pump before the heat pump, and turn off the heat pump before the water pump.
    • Check for water leakage after starting the water pump.
    • Power on the heat pump, press the ON/OFF button, and set the desired temperature.
    • Observe for any abnormal noise after startup.
    • Check the temperature setting.

Troubleshooting for Common Faults: The manual provides a table for common faults, their reasons, and solutions:

  • Heat pump doesn't run: No power (wait for recovery), power switch off (switch on), fuse burned (check/change fuse), breaker off (check/turn on breaker).
  • Fan running but with insufficient heating: Evaporator blocked (remove obstacles), air outlet blocked (remove obstacles), 3 minutes start delay (wait patiently).
  • Display normal, but no heating: Set temp. too low (set proper temp.), 3 minutes start delay (wait patiently).

If solutions don't work, contact the installer with detailed information and model number; do not attempt self-repair.
