Field Operation
Make sure the tractor is properly connected to the
equipment.
Enter the operator’s position. See “Entering the
Operator’s Position” in the Operation section.
When starting work, operate the equipment for a
short distance and check the result.
Leave the operator’s position. See “Leaving the
Operator’s Position” in the Operation section.
Make adjustments for the desired performance
and verify that the correct equipment angle. See
“Adjustments” in the Operation section.
Operate only at 540 RPM.
Operate at a maximum speed of 9 mph (14 kph).
CAUTION
• Read operator and parts manual before operating
the implement.
• Do not permit riders.
• Keep all guards and shields in place.
• Keep hands, feet, clothing and hair away from
moving parts.
• Stop engine, set brake, remove key and wait
for all moving parts to stop before servicing,
adjusting, repairing and unplugging.
• Remove bystanders, especially children, before
starting or while operating.
• Block up before working beneath unit.
• Review safety instructions annually.

The tines scrape the ground and collect the cut
material. The material is pushed to the rear and
spread evenly [Figure 14].

For best results, the rotary groups must operate at
an angle of 7° to 10° from the ground [Figure 15].
