COMMISSIONING
After the EX 200™ and the other components of the system have been installed, wired
and programmed, FENWAL-certified personnel must thoroughly check the system for
proper operation before it is put into service.

HE FIREWOLF™ OR ELECTRO-EXPLOSIVE ACTUATORS
IN THE HRD EXTINGUISHERS AND EXPLOSION ISOLATION VALVES UNTIL
THE SYSTEM HAS BEEN COMMISSIONED. IF THE ACTUATORS FIRE
UNINTENTIONALLY, SYSTEM DAMAGE, INJURY OR DEATH COULD RESULT.
MAINTENANCE
Regular Maintenance
When the polycarbonate door panel becomes obscured, clean it with a clean, non-
abrasive cloth and warm soapy water. Rinse with clean water. Do not use abrasive
cleaners or harsh chemicals.
Replacing the Battery
Replace the back-up battery when it will no longer hold a charge, as indicated by the BIT
trouble indicator turning on. Under ideal conditions, the battery may last up to six years.
Use the battery specified in the system drawing.
Disarming and Powering Down the System
Except for replacing the battery, the explosion suppression/isolation system MUST be
disarmed before changing its configuration.
The system MUST be powered down before rewiring, changing components or
attempting to locate system troubles.
