Functional description

Commissioning
 Connecting and disconnecting the mains cable -

Before switching on the power tool, make
sure that the bayonet fitting at the mains ca-
ble is closed fully and locked.
 To connect the suction hose [3] , see also Sec-
tion Dust extraction.
Using a special vacuum sleeve, the PLANEX
suction hose guarantees a permanent fixing
and better protection against kinking.

 The mains voltage and the frequency of the pow-
er source must correspond with the specifica-
tions on the machine's name plate.
 In North America, only Festool machines with
the voltage specifications 120 V/60 Hz may be
used.

ON (I) Push the on/off switch [4-1] down and
forward.
On/off switch is locked.
