can
be
performed,
using
two
tape
decks
connected
to
the
amplifier.
The
TAPE
DUPLICATE
switch

SOME
INFORMATION
ON
PROTECTIVE
CIRCUITS
1.
Sound
will
not
come
out
of
the
speaker
systems
for
about
two
seconds
after
switching
on
power.
During
this
period.
the
power
muting
circuit
will
be
operating
to
mute
turn-on
transients.
2.
Protection
circuit
for
excessively
high
input
signals:
If
the
volume
control
knob
is
set
near
maximum
and
excessively
high
input
signals
are
supplied,
the
relay
circuit
inside
will
temporarily
be
actuated
in
order
to
protect
the
amplifier
and
the
speaker
systems,
and
the
signals
will
be
cut
off.
In
cases
like
this,
set
the
volume
control
knob
to
a
lower
position
and
operation
will
then
return
to
normal.
3.
If
the
speaker
terminals
are
short-circuited
or
if
the
ventila-
tion
holes
in
the
top
of
the
chassis
are
blocked
and
the
amplifier
is
operated
for
a
prolonged
period
of
time,
the
temperature
inside
will
rise.
The
thermal
sensor
circuit
may
become
activated
and
interrupt
the
operation
of
the
ampli-
fier.
However,
once
the
cause
of
the
trouble
is
removed
and
the
internal
temperature
falls,
normal
operation
will
be
restored
automatically.
This
does
not,
however,
indicate
that
anything
is
wrong
with
the
amplifier
itself.
TIPS
ON
OPERATIONAL
SAFETY...
1.
Location:
For
safe
operation
and
satisfactory
performance
of
the
amplifier,
keep
the
following
in
mind
when
selecting
a
place
for
its
installation.
e
Shelter
it
from
direct
sunlight
and
keep
it
away
from
sources
of
intense
heat,
e
Avoid
a
dusty
or
humid
place.
®
Avoid
a
place
with
insufficient
ventilation
for
heat
dissipation.
2.
When
handling
power
cord:
®
Do
not
handle
the
power
cord
with
wet
hands.
®
Do
not
pull
on
the
power
cord
when
disconnecting
it
from
an
AC
wall
outlet.
Hold
it
at
the
plug.
3.
Preventing
the
hazards
of
electric
shocks
and
fire:
If,
by
accident,
water
is
spilled
on
the
amplifier,
unplug
the
power
cord
immediately
and
bring
the
unit
to
a
FISHER
dealer
or
service
center
for
servicing.
4.
Do
not
drop
pieces
of
metal
into
the
amplifier:
Needles,
coins
and
other
electrically
conductive
materials
may
cause
problems
if
they
get
into
ће
amplfier.
5.
When
changing
connections:
Be
sure
to
switch
off
power
at
the
source
when
changing
connections
to
the
input
terminals.
This
precaution
is
necessary
to
protect
speakers,
which
may
be
damaged
by
a
sudden
increase
in
input.
6.
Do
not
place
anything
directly
on
the
amplifier:
After
operating
the
amplifier
for
a
prolonged
period
of
time
at
a
large
power
output,
the
temperature
inside
the
ampli-
fier
will
rise,
Heat
dissipation
should
not
be
obstructed,
do
not
place
anything
on
top
of
the
amplifier.
Attention
should
also
be
paid
to
good
ventilation
when
selecting
the
place
of
installation.
7.
Cleaning:
Wipe
the
front
panel
and
other
exterior
surfaces
of
the
amplifier
clean
with
a
soft,
dry
cloth.
Stains
should
be
removed
by
wiping
its
surfaces
with
a
soft
cloth
immersed
in
lukewarm
water
and
wrung
dry.
Never
use
a
solvent
or
alcohol.
Do
not
spray
insecticide
liquid
near
the
amplifier,
Such
chemicals
may
cause
surface
discoloration
and
cracking.
8.
Servicing:
Should
the
amplifier
become
inoperative,
do
not
attempt
to
correct
the
problem
yourself.
Switch
off
power,
unplug
the
power
cord,
and
have
it
serviced
by
FISHER-authorized
personnel,
INSTALLING
THE
RACK
MOUNT
ATTACHMENTS
OPTION
(Fig.
3)
Place
the
rack
mount
bracket
(side
with
the
round
holes)
against
the
side
of
the
steel
cabinet
in
such
a
way
that
the
mounting
flange
with
the
slots
becomes
an
extension
of
the
front
panel
sides.
Then
line
up
the
holes
in
the
bracket
with
the
holes
in
the
steel
cabinet,
Use
the
screws
supplied
and
fasten
the
brackets
to
the
unit.
Tighten
the
screws
securely.
ACCESSORY
If
an
additional
height
adjustment
is
required,
the
felt
pads
included
with
the
unit
may
be
used
as
spacers
either
to
in-
crease
the
height
of
the
existing
feet
or
attached
to
the
cabinet
top
between
units.
