If
you
have
followed
the
instructions

the
INSTALLING
and
OPERATING
sections,
and
have
difficulty
operating
your
system,
locate
the
SYMPTOM
in
the
left

SOURCE.

Select

sound
source

the
FUNCTION
selector.

Tune
in
a
radio
program
or
play
a
record,
and
adjust
the
controls
according
to
the
instructions
on
the
previous
page.

Set
the
tape
deck
in
the
recording
mode.
Tape
record-
ing
can
be
done
simultaneously
on
two
tape
decks
con-
nected
to
the
amplifier.

Turn
down
TREBLE
control.
NOTE:
Signals
to
be
recorded
are
kept
at
a
constant
level
at
the
TAPE
REC
terminals
irrespective
of
the
VOLUME,
BASS
and
TREBLE
control
settings.
The
level
of
sound
being
recorded
is
regulated
by
the
recording
LEVEL
control
on
the
tape
deck,
MONITORING
SOUND
DURING
TAPE
RE-
CORDING
OPERATION
You
can
monitor
sound
being
recorded
and
compare
it
with
source
sound
by
setting
the
TAPE
MONITOR
switch
on
the
amplifier
to
TAPE-1
or
TAPE-2,
provided
a
three-head
tape
deck
is
used.

First,
set
the
tape
deck
in
the
monitoring
mode.
@
When
the
TAPE
MONITOR
switch
on
the
amplifier
is
set
to
SOURCE,
sound
being
recorded
comes
out
of
the
speaker
systems.
©
When
the
TAPE
MONITOR
switch
is
set
to
ТАРЕ-1
or
TAPE-2,
sound
recorded
on
tape
is
played
back
through
the
speaker
systems.
NOTE:
The
TAPE
DUPLICATE
switch
is
provided
exclusively
for
use
when
producing
a
duplicate
tape.
During
normal
recording
and
playback
operations,
it
should
be
set
to
OFF
(center
position).
