TV RATINGS
The TV Ratings screen allows you to block all program ratings and specific content themes above a specified age-based rating level.
When you block a content theme for a specific rating, you automatically block that content theme for higher rated programs as well. For
example, if you want your child to watch programs that have a TV-G rating and lower (in other words, you want the child to watch TV-G,
TV-Y7, and TV-Y), then you need to block out higher ratings.
To set TV programming limits:
1. Make sure the remote is in TV mode by pressing the TV button.
2. Press MENU (the Main menu appears).
3. Press the down arrow button until the PARENTAL CONTROL is highlighted, then press ENTER.
4. Press the down arrow button until TV RATINGS is highlighted, then press ENTER.
5. Use the down arrow button to select the rating, then press the volume (–) or (+) button to toggle through the status
of the ratings from None to variations of the options below:
• TV Y : None, All • TV PG : None, All, D, L, S, V
• TV Y7 : None, All, FV • TV 14 : None, All, D, L, S, V
• TV G : None, All • TV MA : None, All, L, S, V
6. Make sure V-CHIP is on. It must be on for rating limits to take effect.
