The detection of vertex 3 is automatic and does not require pilot intervention. Once the pilot enters the
valid area the FAI triangle assistant module automatically uses the current position to dene vertex 3
which is represent by a circle in the task map. Navigation is changed to vertex 1 in order to close the
triangle, and a line is draw between vertex 3, and vertex 1. In addition the colors of the
Triangle Size
data eld are inverted. (see gure Figure 7.6).
