transmit emergency information under
the undocumented category of ALARM
but this programme type cannot be
selected manually.
Selecting PTY
•
Press the PTY button while in FM
mode. The PTY classification code and
'PTY' will be displayed. If there is no
PTY code then 'NONE' will be
displayed.
Selecting stations with the
same programme type
Press the PTY button and while the PTY
code is displayed:
•
Use the SEEK UP/DOWN buttons to
locate other stations broadcasting
programmes of the same type.
Selecting stations with
different programme types
Press the PTY button and while the PTY
code is displayed:
•
Press the PTY button again to select
another programme type. Keep
pressing PTY until you reach the
desired programme type.
•
Then use the SEEK UP/DOWN
buttons to locate a station
broadcasting the selected
programme type.
Using PTY
While the audio unit is searching for
another PTY station, a PTY search display
appears. The PTY code will flash during
the search. When a programme is found,
radio reception is restored from the
station selected.
If the new station is not required, while the
PTY code is still flashing, press SEEK again
to find another station broadcasting the
same programme type.
Note: If a station transmitting the same
type of programme cannot be found,
'NOTHING' is displayed and the radio
returns to the original station.
