you
to
more
advanced
recording
methods:
punch
in/out
recording,
and
ping-pong
recording.
Punch
In/Out
Recording
Punch
in/out
recording
allows
you
to
re-record
part
of
a
recorded
track
by
placing
the
part
in
a
temporary
recording
status.
This
function
is
useful
when
you
wish
to
replace
an
out-of-tune
part
of
a
vocal
or
a
mistake
in
a
phrase
with
a
correct
sound.

Advice!

To
perform
punch
in/out
recording,
first
play
back
the
tape
to
shortly
before
the
part
you
wish
to
replace.
Then
start
recording
at
the
gap
between
the
phrases.
This
is
called
"punch
in."
After
recording
the
part
correctly,
return
to
playback
status.
This
is
called
"punch
out."
You
need
to
use
an
optional
footswitch
(Model
8051)
to
perform
punch
in/out
recording.
