Function Description:
The Frigidaire Room Air Conditioner is designed to cool a room by circulating air and removing heat. It features an electronic control panel and a remote control for convenient operation. The unit offers various modes including Cool, Fan Only, Energy Saver, and Heat (on some models), allowing users to adjust the temperature and fan speed to their preference. It also incorporates a timer for delayed start or stop, and a Sleep feature for optimized nighttime operation. A "Check Filter" reminder ensures timely maintenance for efficient performance.
Important Technical Specifications:

Usage Features:
- Electronic Control Panel & Remote Control: The unit can be controlled via the touch pad on the unit or the provided remote control.

- Compressor Delay: The "Cool" circuit has an automatic 3-minute time-delayed start to prevent overheating and circuit breaker tripping. There is also a 2-second delay for the compressor shutting down when selecting FAN ONLY/HEAT.
Maintenance Features:
- Air Filter Cleaning: The air filter should be checked at least once a month. It can be washed with liquid dishwashing detergent and warm water, rinsed thoroughly, and dried, or vacuumed clean.
- "Check Filter" Reminder: An LED light illuminates after 250 hours of operation to remind the user to clean the filter. Pressing the "Filter Reset" button turns off the light.
- Cabinet Cleaning: The cabinet and front can be dusted with an oil-free cloth or washed with a cloth dampened in a solution of warm water and mild liquid dishwashing detergent. Harsh cleaners, wax, or polish should not be used. Excess water should be wrung from the cloth when cleaning around controls to prevent damage.
- Winter Storage: If storing the unit for winter, it should be removed from the window, covered with plastic, or returned to its original carton. It should be stored in an upright position in a dry place to prevent rust and electrical connection damage.
- Troubleshooting Guide: The manual includes a "Before You Call" section with common occurrences and their solutions, helping users diagnose and resolve minor issues before contacting service. This covers issues like the unit not operating, insufficient cooling, ice formation, rapid cycling, noise, and water dripping.
Safety Precautions:
- Electrical Safety: Do not use extension cords or adapter plugs. Ensure proper grounding and adequate electrical service. Do not cut, damage, or remove the grounding prong from the power cord. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by an authorized Electrolux servicer.

- Unit Placement: Provide occasional ventilation. Do not direct airflow at fireplaces or other heat-related sources. Do not climb on, place objects on, or hang objects off the outdoor part of the unit. Do not place containers with liquids on the unit.
- Malfunction: In case of malfunction (sparks, burning smell), immediately stop operation, disconnect power, and call an authorized servicer.
- Water Drainage: Do not drink water drained from the air conditioner.
