How to fix under chlorinating with FROG Leap Torpedo Pac?
    • C
      Christine WilliamsAug 13, 2025
If you're under-chlorinating with the FROG Leap Torpedo Pac and can't maintain a chlorine level of 0.5 to 1.0 ppm, first, ensure that there are chlorine tablets in the Torpedo Pac and that it's installed correctly. If a correction was made, test the water in 24 hours. If the chlorine level is still low, turn the dial up one setting and test the water again in 24 hours, continuing to raise the setting by one increment each day until you achieve the proper reading. Check for suction side leaks by looking for air bubbles in your pump basket or at the return jet. Ensure the pump runs for at least 6 hours on high speed (40 gpm or higher) or bleed the air from the back time cap if it is open.

      Jessica LittleAug 16, 2025
If the water in your FROG Leap Lighting Equipment appears cloudy, ensure your filtration system is functioning correctly by cleaning the filter, skimmer, and pump basket. Additionally, verify that the pool is properly balanced. Shocking the water can help eliminate any buildup of organic matter. Also, ensure adequate circulation time by increasing pump time if necessary.

Why did the water in my FROG Leap Lighting Equipment turn color?
    • W
      Wendy HollandAug 20, 2025
If the water in your FROG Leap Lighting Equipment changes color, it could be due to metals in the fill water oxidizing. In this case, have the pool water tested. Alternatively, shock the pool, increase circulation time if needed, and clean the filter until the water clarity returns.

    • K
      Kevin JohnsonSep 8, 2025
Check the pressure relief valve on your FROG Leap Lighting Equipment. It is a clear plastic piece approximately 1” long installed inside near the base. If it is loose or missing, replace it, as it can provide another avenue for water to reach the chlorine.
