FLAME CHARACTERISTICS
Check for proper burner flame characteristics.
Burner flames should be blue and stable with no yellow tips, no excessive noise, or lifting. If any of
these conditions exist call our customer service line. If the flame is yellow, it indicates insufficient air.
If the flame is noisy and tends to lift away from the burner, it indicates too much air.

EACH BURNER IS ADJUSTED PRIOR TO SHIPMENT;
HOWEVER, VARIATIONS IN THE LOCAL GAS SUPPLY
MAY MAKE MINOR ADJUSTMENTS NECESSARY.
VISUALLY CHECK THE BURNER
FLAMES PRIOR TO EACH USE. THE
FLAMES SHOULD LOOK LIKE THIS
PICTURE, IF THEY DO NOT, REFER TO
THE BURNER MAINTENANCE PART
OF THIS MANUAL.
SIDE BURNER
The Side Burner complements the grill, turning your appliance into an "Outdoor Kitchen". The
convenience of the Side Burner allows you to prepare side dishes, simmer foods, and prepare
your favorite sauces at the grill. The Side Burner is to be used in the same manner you would
use the burners of a kitchen rangetop. The Side Burner is not to be used for "grilling" directly
on the Side Burner Grates.
TO LIGHT THE SIDE BURNER
Push and turn to the "HI" setting either the Front or Rear Side Burner control knob and the igniter
will click to light the burner.
If the burner does not light in 4 seconds turn the control knob to "OFF". W
ait 5 minutes
and try again.
If the Side Burner does not light after several attempts, refer to the "
Match Lighting Instructions
"
on page 17.
