PROBLEM PROBABLE CAUSES CORRECTIVE ACTION
CM III.5 will not go
into programming
mode.
A. Temporary controller
malfunction caused by voltage
surge.
A. Disconnect unit from electrical
power, wait at least one minute,
reconnect unit to the power
supply and turn controller on.
B. Failed controller.
B. If available, substitute controller
known to be good for suspect
controller (see Section 6.6). If
fryer operates normally, order
replacement controller from FAS.
CM III.5 displays
as it comes out
of melt cycle
OR
Heating mode
indicator does not
come on at all.
A. Setpoint incorrect.
A. Verify that setpoint has been
properly entered.
B. Temporary controller
malfunction caused by voltage
surge.
B. Disconnect unit from electrical
power, wait at least one minute,
and reconnect unit to the power
supply.
C. Failed controller.
C. If available, substitute controller
known to be good for suspect
controller (see Section 6.6). If
fryer operates normally, order
replacement controller from FAS.
Heating mode
indicator is on but
fryer is not heating
properly.
A. Burner is not lit.
A. Refer to Burner will not light
problem on page 6-2.
B. Failed controller.
B. If available, substitute controller
known to be good for suspect
controller (see Section 6.6). If
fryer operates normally, order
replacement controller from FAS.
