The mains adapter must b e connected to the Port Replicator when the
notebook is connected to the Port Replicator.
We recommend that the notebook is not operated with the LCD monitor closed when
the notebook is connected to the Port Rep licator. The resulting overheating can
cause reduced performance and increased activity of the integrate d fan.
PortReplicator
► Switch the notebook off.
► Remove the power plug of the mains adapte r from the mains socket.
► Disconnect the mains adap
ter cable from the DC socket (DC IN) of the notebook.

► Ensure that the po sitioning aid (a) of the P ort Replicator is folded in (1).

► Position the notebook so that it is in line with the back edge and positioning
aid of the Port Replicator (1).
► Push the notebook onto the Port Replicator in the dire ction of the arrow (2) until it engages.
