Hard disk
The hard disk is the most impo rtant storage m edium of your notebook. You can work considerably
faster and more e fficiently if you copy applications and files from CDs to your hard disk.
Removing the hard disk
► Switch off your notebook and disconnect the power plug from the mains socket.
Harddisk
► Close the LCD screen so that it locks into place.
► Disconnect all cables connected to the notebook.
► Turn you r notebook over and place it on a stable, sturdy, flat surface. If ne cessary, lay a
non-slip cloth on this surface to prevent the notebook fro m being scratched.
► Remo v e the battery (see "
Removing the b attery", Pa ge 17).

► Remove the screw (1).
► Lift the cover off the notebook (2).
