Module
ModulebayModules
The design of your notebook enables the flexible use of notebook batteries and drives. The
following m odules can be opera ted in the module bay of your notebook:
• Second battery
• Optical drive
• Second hard disk drive
• Empty plug-in unit (save weight)
Only use modules designed for your notebook.
Do not use force when installing or removing the m od ule.
Make sure that no foreign objects enter the module bay.
You can swap modules during operation. This means you do not
need to switch off the notebook.
Log o ff the module via the corresponding symbol in the task bar.
The module can now be removed without any further actions being necessary.
If you plan to perform a operating syste m recovery and you are using a second hard
disk drive in the module bay, be careful to eject the module prior to recovery

► Slide the release m echanism (1) in the direction of the arrow and hold.
► Pull the mod ule (2) out of the module bay.
