Hard disk drives (HDD) / Solid state drives (SSD)
The server blade can be equipped with a maximum of two 2.5-inch HDD/SSD
modules.
Each HDD/SSD module can accommodate an SAS/SATA hard disk drive or an
SAS/SATA SSD drive. The module is connected to the HDD backplane
wirelessly. This allows HDD/SSD modules to be plugged in or pulled out easily.
Two SAS/SATA hard disk drives or SAS/SATA SSD drives can be controlled by
the onboard SATA controller or the SAS/SATA RAID controller.
Mixed configurations of SAS HDDs, SATA HDDs, SAS SSDs and SATA SSDs
within the same logical drive (RAID array) are not supported.
If the server blade has a corresponding RAID configuration, HDD/SSD modules
can also be replaced during operation.
Onboard CNA controller
A CNA controller is integrated on the system board; up to 4 x 1 Gbit/s or
2x 10 Gbit/s can be selected on the CNA controller.

Onboard SATA controller
A SATA controller is integrated on the system board; up to two SATA hard disk
drives or SATA SSD drives can be connected to the controller. The LSI
Embedded MegaRAID software (SATA Software RAID) supports RAID levels 0
and 1.
