  If the steam and hot water lights are flashing, the Steam dial is not in the STAND BY position. Turn the Steam dial to the STAND BY position, and the machine will commence its normal heat up procedure.

  The grinder may not start if the Bean Hopper safety interlock is open (the hopper is not correctly in place). Remove the hopper, check for any debris, and replace the hopper into the correct location.
