Making an Audio Recording
Use the built-in microphone, or connect an external microphone using the
Mic port on the right side of the system to make an audio recording.
Note: Remember, connecting an external microphone will disable the built-
in microphone.
To make an audio recording:
1. Click on Start,
Programs , Accessories, Multimedia, and Sound Recorder to
access the Sound - Sound Recorder screen.
2. Click on
Edit and Audio Properties to set/check record volume levels.
3. Click on File and New to begin a recording.
4. Slide the mouse pointer slowly over the control buttons along the bottom
of the screen to display the function of each button.
5. Click on the l (Record) button to start recording.
6. Click on the n (Stop) button to end recording.
7. Click on
File and Save As... to name and store the recording.
You can play back the recording in either Sound Recorder, or Media Player.
To play back the recording in Media Player:
1. Click on Start,
Programs, Accessories, Multimedia, then Media Player to
access the Media Player screen.
2. Click on
File, then Open....
3. Select the file to play back and click the Open button.
4. Slide the mouse pointer slowly over the control buttons along the bottom
of the screen to display the function of each button.
5. Click on the
u (Play) button to start the recording.
6. Click on the n (Stop) button to end recording.
