IEC 61850 Configurator Details
The IEC 61850 Configurator allows the user to edit all sections of the IEC61850 CID and ICD
file. Close the IEC 61850 session to perform other operations in the EnerVista 3 Series
Setup
software.
The IEC 61850 configurator consists of five sections:
•ICD/CID
• Settings
•Reports
• GOOSE Reception
• GOOSE Transmission
ICD/CID The ICD/CID tab consists of the ICD Explorer window on the left. The ICD Explorer window
allows the user to navigate through the data model of the relay and change desired IEC
61850 parameters such as the Logical Device Name, MMS port, etc. which are displayed
on the right.
To Modify the Parameters
1. Select a parameter in the ICD Explorer window to open the Attributes window in the
right part of the screen.
2. In the Attributes window, double-click in the Value column of the table and enter the
new value for that parameter.
For example, from the Attributes window set the IED name, description, and
configuration version for the Logical Device, as shown in the preceding figure.
