  Cloudiness, or etching, can occur due to a combination of soft water and too much detergent; use less detergent if you have soft water, and wash glassware in the shortest cycle that will get it clean. If the water temperature entering the dishwasher exceeds 150°F (66°C), lower the water heater temperature. Make sure you are using only automatic dishwasher detergents to avoid sudsing. Finish® Quantum® Automatic Dishwashing Detergent has been approved for use in all GE Appliances dishwashers.

  This can be due to several reasons. Extremely hard water can cause this issue; use rinse agents like Finish® Jet-Dry® Rinse Aid, and consider a water softener if the water is very hard. Ensure the inlet water temperature is at least 120°F (49°C). Avoid overloading or improperly loading the dishwasher (see the Loading section). Old or damp powder detergent can also be a culprit; use fresh, highly rated detergent such as Finish® Quantum® Automatic Dishwashing Detergent. Check if the rinse agent dispenser is empty and refill it with a product like Finish® Jet-Dry® Rinse Aid. Finally, ensure you're using the proper amount of a highly rated detergent.

  The drain might be clogged. If you have an air gap, clean it (Built-In Models Only). See the Care and cleaning section. If the dishwasher drains into a disposer, run the disposer to clear it. Check to see if your kitchen sink is draining well; if not, you may need a plumber.

  First, make sure the dishwasher door is firmly closed. Also, ensure the water valve (usually located under the sink) is turned on.

  The beeping at the end of the cycle is normal. The dishwasher will beep (unless interrupted) and the Clean light will display at the end of the wash cycle.

  If you have a built-in model, water remaining in the bottom of the tub is often due to a clogged air gap. Clean the air gap. See the Care and cleaning section. Also, check if high drain loop or air gap is not installed and refer to the Installation Instructions for proper drain line installation.

  For proper drying, open the dishwasher door immediately after the Clean light comes on. Ensure the inlet water temperature is at least 120°F and consider using Wash Temp Boost. Select a higher cycle, such as Heavy. Check the rinse agent dispenser and fill as needed.
