Why does my GE Inverter engine bog down when I connect loads?
- AAaron CoxJul 31, 2025
If your GE Inverter engine runs well without any load but struggles when loads are connected, it could be due to several reasons: * A short circuit in a connected load. Try disconnecting electrical loads to resolve this. * The generator is overloaded. Turn off one or more loads. * A shorted generator circuit. In this case, contact a local service facility. * Incorrect fuel pressure or mixture. Refer to the Gaseous Fuel System section in the installation manual. * A kinked fuel line between the regulator and engine. Remove the kink, and replace the line if necessary.
