Why GE JS660EL1ES Ranges surface units will not maintain a rolling boil?
    • I
      Isaac DanielsSep 13, 2025
If the surface units on your GE Ranges aren't maintaining a rolling boil or cooking isn't fast enough, it might be because you're using the wrong type of cookware. Make sure you're using flat pans that match the diameter of the surface unit. If the power voltage in your area is low, cover the pan with a lid to help retain heat until the desired temperature is reached.

What does it mean when "LOCK DOOR" flashes in the display of my GE Ranges?
    • M
      michaelcoleAug 30, 2025
The "LOCK DOOR" flashing in the display of your GE Ranges indicates that the self-clean cycle has been selected, but the oven door is not closed. Close the oven door and latch it if your unit has a manual latch.

    • P
      Patricia HarrisSep 12, 2025
If food doesn't broil properly in your GE Ranges, make sure you select the appropriate broil mode. Refer to the Cooking Guide for rack location suggestions. Ensure the cookware is cool and suited for broiling. If using aluminum foil, conform to pan slits. For areas with low voltage, preheat the broil element for 10 minutes.

Why my GE Ranges storage drawer won’t close?
    • M
      Melissa DavisSep 15, 2025
If the storage drawer on your GE Ranges won’t close, the power cord might be obstructing it at the back of the range. Reposition the drawer and power cord. See the Storage Drawer Removal instructions in the Care and cleaning of the range section. Also, the drawer slide or rail may be improperly aligned. Reposition the drawer. See the Storage Drawer Removal instructions in the Care and cleaning of the range section.

Why does my GE JS660EL1ES drawer not slide smoothly or drags?
    • M
      Mark SaundersSep 22, 2025
The drawer may be out of alignment. Fully extend the drawer and push it all the way in. See the Care and cleaning of the range section. Alternatively, the drawer may be overloaded or the load is unbalanced, so reduce the weight and redistribute the drawer contents.

      rlamAug 29, 2025
If the surface units on your GE Ranges aren't maintaining a rolling boil or cooking is not fast enough, it could be due to improper cookware.
