Why doesn't the sanitized light illuminate at the end of the cycle on my GE PDT145?
    • T
      thomasthomasSep 12, 2025
If the Sanitized light does not illuminate at the end of the cycle on your GE Dishwasher, it could be because the door was opened and the cycle was interrupted during the final rinse. Do not interrupt the cycle by opening the door during the wash cycle. Another reason could be that the incoming water temperature was too low. Raise the water heater temperature to between 120°F and 150°F.

What to do if my GE PDT145 Dishwasher won’t run?
    • D
      Dustin HodgesAug 25, 2025
If your GE Dishwasher won’t run, start by checking the fuse or circuit breaker and replace or reset it, removing any other appliances from the circuit. Ensure the power is turned on, especially if it's controlled by a wall switch. Also, check if the control panel is locked and unlock it. As a final step, try rebooting the control by turning off power to the dishwasher (at the circuit breaker or wall switch) for 30 seconds, then turning it back on.

Why won’t water pump out of my GE PDT145?
    • E
      Emma BlanchardAug 27, 2025
If water won’t pump out of your GE Dishwasher tub, the drain might be clogged. If you have an air gap, clean it. If the dishwasher drains into a disposer, run the disposer to clear it. Check to see if your kitchen sink is draining well; if not, you may need a plumber.

Why are my dishes and flatware not clean in my GE Dishwasher?
    • E
      Emily MorganNov 20, 2025
If your dishes and flatware aren't getting clean in your GE Dishwasher, several factors could be at play. First, the filter assembly might be clogged, so refer to the CARE AND CLEANING section. Also, ensure the inlet water temperature is correct by turning on the hot water faucet nearest the dishwasher until the water temperature stops rising, then start the dishwasher. Select Wash Temp - Boost. Low water pressure could also be the culprit; check if water is coming out of your faucet more slowly than usual and wait until the pressure is normal (20-120 psi). For built-in models, check for clogs in the air gap or disposer, and clean them accordingly. Improper rack loading can also prevent proper cleaning, so ensure large dishware or utensils aren't blocking the detergent dispenser or the was...

Why are there suds in the tub of my GE PDT145?
    • A
      Antonio CarrSep 9, 2025
If you see suds in the tub of your GE Dishwasher, it's likely due to using the wrong detergent. Use only high-quality automatic dishwasher detergents to avoid sudsing. Cascade® Platinum™ ActionPacs™ or Finish® Quantum® Automatic Dishwashing Detergent have been approved for use in all GE Appliances dishwashers. Also, if rinse agent was spilled, always wipe it up immediately.

    • Z
      zachary36Sep 6, 2025
If you notice black or gray marks on dishes in your GE Dishwasher, it's likely that aluminum utensils have rubbed against the dishes. Remove the marks with a mild, abrasive cleaner.
