  If the burners on your GE Ranges aren't lighting, first ensure the range is fully plugged into a properly grounded electrical outlet. If you are using gas, check that the gas supply is connected and turned on. Also, check your home's fuse or circuit breaker. Make sure burner parts are replaced correctly. Check for clogged burner slots near the electrode, or the round lighter port on the oval burner, and clean them if necessary. If there is food residue on electrode, lightly polish flat tip of electrode with nail file or sandpaper until shiny.

How to reset the clock on my GE PGB930 Ranges after a power outage?

  If you've experienced a power outage or surge and the clock on your GE Ranges is flashing, you'll need to reset the clock. If the oven was in use during the outage, you must first press the Cancel/Off pad, then set the clock, and finally reset any cooking function you were using.

Check if the oven is accidentally in Sabbath Mode, and disable it if necessary. Finally, make sure the clock is turned on.

  If your food isn't broiling properly in your GE Ranges, ensure you've selected the appropriate broil mode. Check the Cooking Guide for proper rack position suggestions. If using aluminum foil on the broil pan, wrap tightly and add slits conforming to those in the pan to allow grease to drain.

  If the surface burners on your GE Ranges light, but the bake and broil burners do not, the gas to the oven burners may have been shut off. The oven gas shut-off is located on the gas regulator near the gas line attachment to your range. Locate it and flip the lever.
