Pulsator
A Pulsator replaces the tall agitator to move clothes
through the water gently rubbing the material
similar to a washboard. Pulsators are designed to
work best moving material around in the basket
with lower water levels to meet today’s energy
standard.
Pulsator Removal
1. Remove the center cap on the pulsator by
SU\LQJXSZLWKDÀDWEODGHVFUHZGULYHU
2. Remove the #3 Philips head screw that secures
the pulsator to the shaft of the transmission.
NOTE: Always replace the pulsator screw once
it has been removed. The torque yields of the
threads are compromised and will not meet torque
VSHFL¿FDWLRQV
3. /LIWWKHSXOVDWRUDQGFRXSOHURȺWKHVSOLQHVRI
the shaft assembly.
The coupler is not a separate part. It comes with the
Pulsator.
Pulsator Bolt Reinstallation
1. Before installing the new pulsator, verify the
O-ring is in the proper position (see the image
below).
