Basic safety notes
Intended use
The Geberit ESG Light electrofusion tool may only be used for
welding:
Geberit electrofusion couplings ø 40–160 mm with Geberit PE
and Geberit Silent‑db20 pipes and fittings
Geberit electrofusion tapes for anchor point ø 50–315 mm with
Geberit PE pipes and fittings
The Geberit ESG Light electrofusion tool is exclusively intended to
be used in accordance with these operating instructions. Other
uses are deemed to be improper and can lead to serious injury or
death.
The Geberit ESG Light electrofusion tool may only be connected
to a public power supply system with the approval of the power
supplier.
User qualifications
Without suitable training, users cannot detect or may incorrectly
estimate the hazards presented by Geberit electrofusion tools.
They are therefore at risk of seriously injuring themselves or others.
Only skilled persons qualified in pipe installations are permitted
to use Geberit electrofusion tools.
Users must be conversant with – and adhere to – country-
specific safety regulations.
Users working with a Geberit electrofusion tool for the first time
must have been instructed by an expert or have attended a
specialist course on how to handle it safely.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.
